Kids love snacks, and always seen to be getting hungry. It is no wonder since they burn a lot of calories playing and running around. As a parent, you want to give them to be healthy but also want to you’re your kids what they want. When you offer healthy snacks, your kids can eat healthy and feel satisfied at the same time.
One snack that my kids love is homemade hummus. It is so easy to make, and is a wonderful snack choice!
15 oz can chickpeas
1 clove garlic
1 tsp tahini
1 Tb lemon juice
½ cup water
optional—extra garlic, roasted red pepper (sweet or spicy), your favorite spice
Blend all of the ingredients together using a small food processor or the Magic Bullet.
Serve with carrot and celery sticks, whole grain crackers, or baked corn chips.
